Kadyrov announced the transfer to “Akhmat” of three thousand former mercenaries of PMC “Wagner”

Three thousand former fighters of PMC “Wagner” will transfer to the special forces unit “Akhmat”, de facto subordinate to the head of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov, Kadyrov himself announced in his Telegram channel. According to him, this has already been agreed with the Russian Ministry of Defense.

The Wagnerians will form a separate regiment there under the command of the former commander of the assault detachment of the PMC Alexander Kuznetsov, known by the call sign Ratibor. The legal structure of the new subdivision is not explained.

Kuznetsov was previously reported to have the military rank of reserve lieutenant colonel. He served in PMC “Wagner” from the very foundation of the group, participated in mercenary operations in Sudan, Syria and Libya, and a unit under his command fought in Ukraine. It was reported that President Vladimir Putin awarded him the title of Hero of Russia by private decree, but this information was not officially confirmed.
