The oldest man on Earth says that there is no secret to longevity

Englishman John Tinniswood became the oldest male person on Earth. Emu is 111 years old. On April 4, his record was recorded in the Guinness Book. Previously, the record holder for life expectancy among men was the citizen of Venezuela Juan Vicente Pérez Mora, who died on April 2 at the age of 114.

When asked by journalists about the secret of his longevity, Tinniswood replies that he was just lucky. “You can live long or short – there is no way to influence that,” Tinniswood said. He said that he never observed any diet and did not adhere to any particular lifestyle. His favorite dish is traditional English fried fish and potatoes, which his family prepared on Fridays, he is a fan of the Liverpool football club, does not smoke and believes that his life has never differed from the average.

Tinniswood was born in 2012 in Liverpool and has been living in northern England ever since. He worked as an accountant and retired in 1972, more than 50 years ago. He lived with his wife Blodwen for 44 years, she died in 1986. The couple raised a daughter, now Tinniswood has grandchildren and great-grandchildren. At an advanced age, he moved to live in a nursing home due to his health.

When journalists asked Tinniswood to tell how, in his opinion, the world has changed during his lifetime, he replied: “The world is constantly changing. It’s a continuous life experience. The world is getting a little better, but just a little bit. But it’s changing in the right direction.”
