The head of Chechnya appointed his 26-year-old nephew Khamzat Ibragimov as vice-premier and minister of property and land relations of the republic. Until November last year, the post of minister was held by Turpal-Aly Ibragimov, Ramzan Kadyrov’s maternal cousin, who later became the secretary of the Security Council of Chechnya.
Until August 2021, Khamzat Kadyrov headed the Ministry of Physical Culture, Sports and Youth Policy of Chechnya – he was then replaced by Turpal-Aly Ibragimov. - Khamzat Kadyrov graduated from the Centaroev School of Hafiz. Later, he also received a secular education at the Faculty of Public Administration at the Chechen State University.
- In Chechnya, dozens of relatives of the head of the republic are appointed to high positions in the leadership of the region. He himself does not see any conflict of interest in promoting his family members up the career ladder. Civil service positions are occupied by his children, sisters, sons-in-law, nephews, brothers of various degrees of kinship. The editors of Kavkaz.Realii have collected the most complete list of people from the Kadyrov clan working in the state structures of the republic.
- The head of Chechnya can receive the title of “father of the people” – the chairman of the parliament Magomed Daudov and 20 other deputies proposed to introduce the corresponding amendments to the Constitution of the republic.
