The Governor of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, Alexander Uss, announced his resignation.
In the Telegram channel, he wrote that the other day he met with President Vladimir Putin and received an offer to “continue work at the federal level.” As Uss emphasized, in his new position he will continue to “deal with issues of social and economic development” of the region. What is this position – Uss did not say.
His meeting with Putin was not previously reported. Ussa’s impending resignation was reported by a number of Telegram channels on Thursday morning. Rumors about his resignation have been circulating for several months.

Recently, the story of the son of Alexander Uss – Artyom caused a great resonance. In March, he escaped from house arrest in Italy, fearing extradition to the United States, where he is accused, in particular, of circumventing sanctions against Russia. Subsequently, he stated that he is in Russia, where a criminal case has also been initiated against him, the termination of which has not yet been announced.
Alexander Uss thanked everyone who supported him during his detention in Italy and the return of his son Artyom to Russia, he expressed special gratitude to Putin. “He is not just the leader of our state, he is a man with a big and open heart,” Uss said. What exactly was Putin’s role in the events surrounding Artyom Uss, the governor did not specify.
