Kyivstar supports military personnel

The national telecommunications operator supports employees mobilized to the ranks of the Armed Forces, and implements assistance and reintegration programs for veterans.

Since the beginning of the full-scale war, 176 employees of Kyivstar joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine or the Territorial Defense Forces, including on a voluntary basis.

These are radio engineers, cyber security experts, marketers, logistics and transport specialists, contact center employees and other specialists of the company, who are currently protecting the country in various hotspots. A number of company employees, who were at the front since the first days of the war, have already returned to their jobs.

The company systematically helps employees who serve in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. For each of them, a workplace and monthly payments in the amount of average monthly earnings are stored.

Psycho-emotional support of veterans and their relatives, safety of the team, material and non-material motivation, care for physical and mental health – directions that the company implements and adapts according to the needs of the time.

“Diverse support of the team, continuous provision of services, assistance to subscribers, society and the country as a whole – what Kyivstar has concentrated its efforts on,” says Oksana Oliinyk, director of personnel management and development of the Kyivstar organization.

To develop and implement a veterans reintegration program, the company cooperates with military psychologists, conducts training for the HR team on recruiting veterans and communicating with them.

In-depth psycho-emotional support programs are in place for war veterans and their family members. A separate direction is work with the team to which demobilized military personnel return.

Team leaders, whom the company teaches to work and act in war conditions, become mentors and coaches for their colleagues.

Kyivstar employees take an active part in helping the Armed Forces and charity projects. Thus, since the beginning of the full-scale aggression against Ukraine, the company’s volunteers have collected UAH 2.2 million of their own funds for charity funds.

And the total amount of aid to Kyivstar Armed Forces, subscribers and Ukraine during the war exceeded UAH 1.3 billion.
