The Cabinet of Ministers has allocated an additional 7 billion hryvnias for the continuation of works on the construction of water mains for cities affected by the Russian terrorist attack on the Kakhovskaya HPP.
This was announced by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal.
He emphasized that the government continues to overcome the consequences of the Russian terrorist attack on the Kakhovskaya HPP and aims to restore water supply to the cities of Dnipropetrovsk region, to help people who lost their homes and crops due to flooding.
“We have important results. The first water line has started working on the section “Ingulets – Kryazheve”. It will provide water to 25% of the population of Kryvyi Rih,” Shmyhal noted.
The head of the government emphasized that the work was completed in a record short time – 76 days from the moment the station was blown up.
In the future, it is planned to launch two more sections “Manganets – Nikopol – Pokrov” (length 40.9 km) and “Zaporizhia – Tomakivka – Manganets” (76.7 km).
The Cabinet of Ministers allocated UAH 1.5 billion as a priority for the laying of three sections of water mains with a total length of over 144 km. During the meeting on Tuesday, August 22, additional UAH 7 billion was allocated for the continuation of works.
