A white Lamborghini, Louis Vuitton bags and Rolex watches are just some of the luxury items seized from drug dealers and auctioned off in an “exclusive sale” by the French government earlier this week, which fetched almost €1.5 million. This is reported by CNN.

The auction, organized by the Agency for the Management and Recovery of Arrested and Confiscated Assets (Agrasc) together with the National Directorate of State Intervention (DNID), was an unusual sight on Tuesday at the historic Palace of Justice in Paris, where the Paris Court of Appeal is located.
In total, the auction raised 1.46 million euros, including 185,000 euros from sales to foreign buyers.
The most spectacular offer at the auction was the confiscated white Lamborghini Huracan of 2017, parked near the courthouse. Ego was sold for 138,000 euros.
Other items in the 277-lot auction included high heels from Yves Saint Laurent, Christian Louboutin and Jimmy Choo, designer sneakers and numerous cars and motorcycles.

Although similar sales have been held in the past, this is the first sale where all proceeds will be donated to the Interagency Mission on Drugs and Addictive Behavior. This body oversees state policy on drugs and addiction in France.
