The head of the “Federal Project on Security and Fight against Corruption” Vitaliy Borodyn appealed to the Prosecutor General’s Office of Russia with a request to initiate criminal proceedings against actress Lia Akhedzhakova under three articles of the Criminal Code. The text of the appeal was distributed by the “Bloody Lady” Telegram channel.

Borodin claims that Akhedzhakova sponsors the ASU, referring to a post on Instagram made on behalf of the actress – the actress herself denied the donation to the ASU and called this post a fake. The Sovremennyk theater, where the actress worked, also stated that this Instagram account does not belong to Akhedzhakova.

The author of the denunciation asked to open a criminal case against Lia Akhedzhakova under the articles of treason, “discrediting” the Russian army and inciting hatred or enmity. In addition, he asks to recognize the actress as a “foreign agent” and deprive her of state awards and titles.

  • Liya Akhedzhakova repeatedly publicly criticized Vladimir Putin and spoke in support of Ukraine. On February 8, it became known that the management of “Sovremennyk” removed from the repertoire the last production with her participation – the play “The Gin Game”. In a conversation with her, the director of the theater mentioned that he was “literally bombarded with angry letters addressed to her.” At the end of March, Akhedzhakova announced that she resigned from the theater of her own free will.
