Low-cost carrier Wizz Air will launch new routes from Poland

Low-cost carrier Wizz Air has announced nine new routes from Poland, an increase in the frequency of flights on existing routes and the expansion of its fleet in the country to 30 airliners. This is reported by avianews.com.

All changes will begin at the end of October 2023, when the winter flight schedule will come into force.

In autumn, Wizz Air will place a new generation Airbus A321neo aircraft at the main Warsaw Chopin Airport.

This 240-seat airliner will allow Wizz Air to open a new flight from Warsaw to the Moroccan resort of Agadir on October 31.

Also, thanks to the expansion of the fleet, the low-cost carrier will increase the frequency of flights from Warsaw to Alicante, Malaga, Bergamo, Nice, Oslo-Torp, Rome, Tenerife and Valencia.

The regional network of Wizz Air will be replenished with eight routes from Gdansk, Katowice, Wroclaw and Krakow from October:

  • Gdansk-Copenhagen from October 29;
  • Gdansk-Tenerife from October 29;
  • Gdansk-Alicante from October 30;
  • Katowice-Copenhagen from October 29;
  • Katowice-Alicante from October 31;
  • Wroclaw-Valencia from October 30;
  • Wroclaw-Malaga from October 31;
  • Krakow-Wasencia from December 3.

Wizz Air announced that ticket sales for new destinations have already opened.

Prices

The cheapest tickets are sold at a price of PLN 69 ($16.60) one way. The minimum fare includes transportation of only a small piece of hand luggage. Its dimensions should not exceed 40×30×20 cm, and its weight should not exceed 10 kg.
