The Armed Forces of Ukraine struck with HIMARS rocket launchers at a cluster of Russian servicemen stationed for an award in the village of Elenovka in the Donetsk region. This was reported on Wednesday by several telegram channels that inform about the progress of the war – both Ukrainian and Russian.
Oleg Tsarev, a former deputy of the Verkhovna Rada, who has been a supporter of the Donbass separatists since 2014, also reported on the shelling. “I will not give details so as not to please the enemy,” he summarized. At the same time, various sources mention dozens of dead and wounded Russian soldiers.
The media note that this is already the third such case in a week. On February 21, Ukraine launched an attack from the HIMARS MLRS against Russian servicemen, who were stationed by the command at the training ground near Volnovakha in the Donetsk region. In particular, this was reported by the Russian service of the BBC, and footage of the aftermath of the shelling was published on Telegram channels. The next day, the Ukrainian Armed Forces attacked a cluster of Russians in the Kherson region. In both cases, it was reported that up to 60 soldiers could die.
Neither the Ukrainian command nor the Ministry of Defense of Russia commented on any of the strikes.
