As of December 8, due to strikes by Polish carriers there are about 3,300 trucks at four checkpoints with Poland.
This was announced by the spokesman of the State Border Service Andriy Demchenko on the telethon “Edyny Novyny”.
According to him, the situation regarding the passage of Ukrainian trucks has practically not changed recently. Traffic in 4 directions is currently blocked.
“As of this morning, according to the information of Polish colleagues, there are about 3,300 trucks in queues on the territory of Poland in the direction of Ukraine,” said Demchenko.
The DPSU spokesman added that the largest queues of trucks in front of the Sheghini checkpoint are 1,200 and the Rava-Ruska checkpoint is about 850. Also, the most complicated traffic is observed in the direction of Yagodyn and Rava-Ruska.
“If earlier, 1,200-1,300 trucks crossed the Yagodin checkpoint in both directions, then in the past 24 hours, only 160 cargo vehicles were recorded at the border crossing,” Demchenko added.
It is noted that the Polish blockaders allow only humanitarian and some other important cargoes to pass through the border. However, their movement cannot be called unimpeded.
We will remind:
JSC “Ukrzaliznytsia” is preparing to transport Ukrainian trucks blocked at the border with Poland by counter-trailer trains.
On November 6, dozens of Polish carriers started block three border crossings with Ukraine.
According to the Polish Ministry of Infrastructure, blockers have six requirements:
- return of permits for Ukrainian carriers;
- strengthening of transport requirements within the framework of ECMT (certificates of the European Conference of Ministers of Transport);
- prohibition of registration in Poland of companies with capital from outside the EU;
- obtaining access to the Ukrainian system “The Way”;
- separate queues for cars from the EU in the “eCherga” system;
- allocation of separate queues for empty cars.
