Navalny’s team hung anti-Putin billboards in Russian cities

Supporters of the Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny placed billboards advertising the anti-Putin campaign in Russian cities.

Judging by the videos, such posters are in Moscow, St. Petersburg and Novosibirsk.

The site, the address of which is indicated on the billboards, used to host the “Russia in the New Year. 2024” competition, “Meduza” found out. The QR code printed on some posters leads to it. After placing the billboards, Navalny’s team probably set up a redirect to the “Russia without Putin” landing page. This is the site of the pre-election campaign of FBK.

As part of the campaign, it is proposed to agitate against Putin by joining the FBK “agitation machine”: calling Russians, posting leaflets and reposting anti-Putin content. The Russian authorities consider FBK an extremist organization, and participation in its activities is punishable by fines and prison terms.

The presidential election of Russia is scheduled for March 17, 2024. Vladimir Putin intends to occupy this post for the fifth time. Navalny, who is now serving a term in prison, called to vote against Putin and chose any other candidate. Earlier, the opposition’s team conducted a survey, according to the results of which the majority allowed the support of the “single candidate from the opposition” and the direction of all campaigning on him.

Gennady Zyuganov, former member of the State Duma Borys Nadezhdin, former military leader of pro-Russian separatists in Donetsk Igor Strelkov (Gyrkin) and journalist Ekaterina Duntsova from Rzhev have already announced their intention to participate in the elections. “New People” also plan to nominate their candidate.
