The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi arrived on Wednesday with an unannounced visit to Norway. He met with the Prime Minister of the country, Jonas Har Støre, and took part in the summit of the Nordic countries.

Støre stated that Norway intends to further support Ukraine in its fight against Russian aggression. In particular, he announced new measures of financial and military assistance to Ukraine. Oslo will allocate 3 billion Norwegian kroner (about 273 million dollars) to Ukraine to provide public services, such as the school system and health care.

In addition, Ukraine will receive additional NASAMS missile systems and ammunition worth 335 million crowns (more than three million dollars).

At the summit of the Nordic countries, which was attended by the heads of Norway, Finland, Sweden, Denmark and Iceland, a joint statement was adopted on the continuation of support for Ukraine as long as necessary. To the question asked during the briefing – can Ukraine win without Western aid – Volodymyr Zelenskyy answered: “You can’t win without help, but you can’t lose either.”
