Businessman Oleg Deripaska filed a lawsuit for the protection of honor and dignity against the head of the “Sitting Russia” foundation Olga Romanova and the founder of The Bell publication Elizaveta Osetynskaya. The case card appeared on the website of the Tagansky District Court of Moscow.

According to lawyer Leonid Abgajava, the dissatisfaction of the oligarch triggered the interview that Romanova gave to Osetynskaya for her YouTube channel. In it, Romanova, in particular, claims that Deripaska controls two private military companies.

According to Abgajava, Deripaska’s lawsuit refers to the judicial practice of “some citizen P., who was also credited with the creation of the PMC and who managed to prove in court that this information is defamatory.” The lawyer assumes that he is talking about Evgenia Prigozhin, who won a court case against the former editor-in-chief of “Echo of Moscow” Alexey Venediktov, who called Prigozhin “the owner of PMC “Wagner”. At that time, Prigozhin publicly denied his connections with Wagner.

According to the TV channel “Dozhd”, Deripaska demands that Osetynskaya delete the entire interview, and Romanova – to publish a rebuttal on her Twitter account. For each day of failure to comply with the court’s decision, Deripaska asks to appoint a fine of 10,000 rubles.

Earlier, Deripaska won a case for the protection of honor and dignity against Maria Pevchyh, an employee of the Anti-Corruption Foundation. The court found the information spread by Pevchy on the Internet about the businessman’s participation in mortgage auctions in the mid-1990s to be untrue.
