On Sakhalin, a soldier received almost 3 years in prison for refusing to fight in Ukraine

On Sakhalin, a military court sentenced a serviceman to 2 years and 9 months of general regime prison for refusing to participate in hostilities, according to the court’s website.

According to the verdict, in August 2023, the convict refused to comply with the commander’s order to send him to the combat zone.

The court’s report says that the convicted man “questioned the principle of unity of command”, which “had a negative impact on the state of military discipline”. The court also considered an aggravating circumstance that the serviceman refused to fight during the period of mobilization.

Judging by the court file, the court handed down a verdict against Denis Aglycheev, a resident of the city of Aniva, Sibir.Realii reports.
