One person died in the Zhytomyr region as a result of a Russian missile attack

On Friday night, an air alert was declared throughout the territory of Ukraine. Reports about flying missiles and the operation of air defense systems came, including from Kharkiv, Rivne, Zhytomyr, Volyn, Cherkasy and Lviv regions.

As a result of a rocket attack in the Zhytomyr region, one local resident was killed and three others were injured, the head of the local administration Vitaly Bunechko reported.

In the Cherkassy region, an attack was made on Uman. According to the head of the regional administration, Igor Taburets, the rockets hit an industrial facility and a car wash.

According to the Air Force Command, up to 16 strike drones and six cruise missiles were launched during the Russian missile attack. Almost they were shot down, the Ukrainian military claims. They called the objects of critical infrastructure the target of the strikes.

The governor of the Belgorod region bordering Ukraine, Vyacheslav Gladkov, reported on the massive shelling of the region, including Belgorod, by the Ukrainian military last night. Three people were injured and are in the hospital, Gladkov wrote in his Telegram channel.

According to him, “there was a lot of shooting” this night in Shebekina, there is destruction of housing stock.

The shelling of Shebekin, located near the border with Ukraine, and neighboring settlements intensified in early May, residents began to leave the city, although forced evacuation was not announced.

The regional authorities accuse Ukraine of shelling, the Ukrainian side has not officially reported shelling of Russian territory.
