PMC “Wagner” once again announced the “suspension” of recruitment

On Thursday, a message appeared in the chat for relatives of the mercenaries of PMC “Wagner” that the structure is “temporarily suspending” the recruitment of mercenaries “due to recent events.” The “Agency” edition drew attention to this.
It notes that there are more than 13 thousand people in the chat. The administrator of the group offered those who wish to sign up “in reserve”.
On August 23, the plane carrying the founder of PMC “Wagner” Yevgeny Prigozhin, one of the commanders Dmitry Utkin and a number of other persons connected with PMC, crashed. After the death of Prigozhin, reports began to appear in the mass media and telegram channels that the Ministry of Defense of Russia was preparing to take control of the activities of PMC “Wagner” in Syria and Africa. The fate of those PMC mercenaries who remain in the camp in Belarus is also unclear.
Prigozhin himself in July, after the armed campaign of PMC “Wagner” on Moscow and the withdrawal of its main forces to Belarus, claimed that the group was suspending recruitment. However, the publication “Vazhnye istorii” in August wrote that recruitment in Russian regions continued. As the “Agency” points out, in particular, PMC mercenaries still go to Africa, both from Russia and Belarus – this is what relatives write about in the above-mentioned chat.
In the same place, as “Agentstvo” writes, the relatives of the mercenaries complain about the many-month delay in salaries, as well as the fact that cash registers for payments to the families of PMC fighters are closed in several cities.
