Poland will buy $12 billion worth of Apache helicopters from the United States

The US government has approved a deal with Poland to supply it with Apache combat helicopters, ammunition for them and training of Polish pilots. This was announced in the Pentagon. Minister of Defense of Poland Mariusz Blaszczak reportedthat while the documents are drawn up and deliveries are being prepared, the US Army will temporarily transfer Apaches from its reserves to Poland.
The press release of the Pentagon’s Agency for International Cooperation indicates that Poland is buying 96 helicopters, 210 engines, as well as numerous equipment – radars, optics, communication systems, etc. The amount of ammunition is calculated by thousands of rockets.
In April 2022, Poland signed an agreement with the United States for the supply of 250 Abrams tanks for $4.75 billion, and in January of this year – for the purchase of additional tanks for $1.4 billion. It became the first European country to adopt the Abrams. The country also purchases weapons from other NATO states and South Korea.
