Prilepin announced his appointment to the post of the castle committee of the Russian Guard regiment

The writer and politician Zakhar Prilepin said that he received the post of deputy commander of the Roshvardiya regiment “Oplot”, which was previously a battalion, but now it is “expanding”. In addition, according to Prilepin, the regiment will receive heavy weapons in the near future.

“After healing, I will return to the army. The tasks set before us by the leadership of the Roshvardiya and the President of Russia will be completed,” the writer summarized, without specifying what these tasks were.

According to the Daily Storm, Prilepin was appointed deputy commander for military and political work, and the Oplot regiment itself will be deployed in the Russian-occupied territories of Ukraine.

Prilepin was seriously wounded, his colleague Alexander Shubyn, who was driving the car and had previously fought on the side of the Donetsk separatists in the same battalion as the writer, died. Later, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia reported on the detention and arrest of the alleged perpetrator of the terrorist attack, Alexander Permyakov, a native of Donetsk Oblast. According to the detainee, Ukrainian special services recruited him to kill Prilepin. At the same time, the mass media reported that Permyakov had previously served in the Donbass in separatist units supported by the Kremlin, and had recently received Russian citizenship.
