Private received 5 years for leaving the unit in Novosibirsk

In Novosibirsk, a military court sentenced private Vassily Ananyev to five years in a colony-settlement on the charge of leaving a unit during the mobilization period. This is reported by the Second Eastern District Military Court.

According to the court, Ananiev left the military unit on December 10, 2022, and went home to rest from “fulfilling military duties.” On February 21, 2023, he learned that he was wanted. After that, the serviceman voluntarily arrived at the military commissariat. The sentence has not entered into legal force, the convicted person can protest against it.
