RANHiGS will train media police officers

RANHiGS opened a bachelor’s program for training media police officers. The Izvestia newspaper was told about this by the university’s press service.
Officially, the direction is called “Media coverage of state interests and national security”. The program is implemented with the support of the National Anti-Terrorist Committee of Russia.
According to the representative of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the task of the “media security guards” will include the fight against propaganda of terrorism, criminal culture, suicides among teenagers and insulting the feelings of believers.
“Izvestia” quoted representatives of Roskomnadzor, the Public Chamber and the State Duma, who claim that the amount of “destructive content” on the network is constantly growing.
The Rector of the State University of Management Vladimir Stroev directly said that if the state has a request for media security specialists, then the universities must “orient themselves” and “put” them on the market.
- According to the report of Roskomnadzor, in the second quarter of 2023, it blocked more than 26 thousand Internet pages about the war with Ukraine – more than with child pornography, suicides and drug propaganda.
