Request for duties: Eastern members of the EU are concerned about Ukrainian grain

The Bulgarian, Polish, Romanian, Slovak, and Hungarian states demand from the European Commission the introduction of import duties on Ukrainian grain. This demand was put forward due to “unfair competition”, reports “Vechernye Vesty” with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture of Hungary.
According to Istvan Nagy, the five states of the East are among the member states of the European Union, which are able to produce significant volumes of wheat and corn crops than the main market requires.
That is why there are requests to introduce duties, in order to protect the markets of states on the border with Ukraine from “unfair competition”.
It is stated that Ukraine “blocks the export potential of the countries that are on the border with it.”
Ukrainian grain was also attacked by the Russian Federation.
