The European Commission warned Western allies against weakening support for Ukraine
The President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, warned the West against weakening support for Ukraine with weapons and finances.
She stated this at the World Economic Forum in Davos, transmits Reuters.
According to her, the West should not refuse to supply Ukraine with weapons and money if it wants Kyiv to succeed in the war against Russia.
“Ukraine can win this war, but we must continue to strengthen their resistance,” she told business leaders, calling on Kyiv’s Western allies to continue supplying Ukraine with arms and financial support.
“Ukrainians need predictable funding through 2024 and beyond. They need sufficient and constant supplies of weapons to defend Ukraine and return its legitimate territory,” the head of the EC summarized.

On December 21, the European Union paid Ukraine the last 1.5 billion euros from the 18 billion euro package of macro-financial assistance for 2023.
