Retired colonel Kvachkov was accused of discrediting for the second time

An administrative case of discrediting the Russian army has been initiated against ex-GRU colonel Vladimir Kvachkov. This is the second such case in an hour that has been brought against him. What became the reason for the accusation is not reported.

In July, Kvachkov was fined 40,000 rubles under an administrative article on discrediting the army. Then the case against the retired colonel was initiated due to the posts that were published on the Odnoklassniki social network in the group “Kvachkov Vladimir Vasilyevich”. The accused claimed that he was not related to her and learned about her existence from the police.

• The retired colonel of the GRU, a veteran of the Afghan war and the civil war in Tajikistan, Vladimir Kvachkov, is known for his ultra-conservative views. He actively supports the war in Ukraine, but at the same time criticizes the current Russian government and the leadership of the Ministry of Defense.
• In 2005, Kvachkov was accused of organizing an attempt on Anatoly Chubais, but the jury acquitted him. In 2013, the retired colonel was sentenced to 13 years in prison on the charge of attempting to organize an armed rebellion. Later, the term was reduced to 8 years.
