Rosaviatsiya sent a telegram to Russian airlines and airports, in which it recommended that passengers who participated in the war in Ukraine be served more carefully and correctly. This is reported by RBC with reference to a copy of the telegram, the authenticity of which was confirmed by sources in the airlines and at the Sheremetyevo airport.

The telegram, signed by the head of Rosaviatsia Dmitry Yadrov, in particular, contains a recommendation – to serve the participants of the war in Ukraine in priority order when registering for flights and passing the inspection procedure at airports.

Rosaviatsiya also asks to exclude cases of incorrect communication between personnel and the military and to provide assistance at all stages of transportation. Thus, airlines should take “urgent decisions” to help rebook tickets for the nearest flights, if a military man is late for a flight for valid reasons, the document says. Participants of the war in Ukraine with mobility restrictions are recommended to be placed in the most comfortable places, but in compliance with flight safety requirements.

RBC reminds that this year there have been several conflicts between the participants in the war in Ukraine and the airlines. So, on the Pobeda airline flight Moscow-Barnaul, the flight attendants accused a passenger of smoking in the plane’s toilet. A passenger who had recently returned from the war was removed from the flight, and the police drew up an administrative report on him. The passenger did not admit that he smoked in the cabin, but clarified that he smoked on the airport platform (which is also prohibited). The head of the Investigative Committee, Alexander Bastrykin, instructed to open a criminal case because of the fact that the military was removed from the flight.

On the second “Pobeda” flight, a participant in the war could not get on the plane due to overbooking. Later, the airline apologized to the passenger, refunded him the money for the ticket and provided a certificate for tickets for any date.

In February of this year, one of the incidents occurred on a flight of S7 Airlines Moscow-Yakutsk. On board the plane, a drunken soldier began to insult the flight attendants, the stewards released the police. But the passengers asked not to detain the soldier, Baza wrote. In the second case, due to a military brawl on the Moscow-Vladivostok flight, the plane had to be landed in Krasnoyarsk, where the passenger was handed over to the police. On board, he demanded that the passenger door be opened for him, and when he refused, he went to the cockpit “to talk” with the ship’s commander, writes RBC.
