Russian authorities have reported a Ukrainian missile attack on Belgorod

The Ukrainian army shelled Belgorod from Czechoslovak-made RM-70 volley fire systems, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported. Local authorities report the death of one person, one of the rockets fell in front of a kindergarten, according to reports from regional mass media and Telegram channels.

The blow was delivered at approximately 11:35 a.m. local time (coincides with Moscow time). The Russian army reported the interception of 13 shells. Several residential buildings were damaged on Makarenko Street, in the Kreyda industrial district in the east of the city.

A missile alert was also announced in other cities of the Belgorod Region. According to TASS, one person was injured as a result of the strikes. “Baza” and “Mesh” report the death of one person.

On the morning of March 20, the governor of the Belgorod region, Vyacheslav Gladkov, announced the early start of school holidays in the regions bordering Ukraine, as well as in Belgorod and the Yakovlev city district.
