Russian Major General Vladimir Zavadsky died in Ukraine. Ukrainian and Russian mass media reported on this. News about the death of the general appeared in Telegram channels the day before. They were confirmed by the Interregional Public Organization of Graduates of the Moscow Higher Military Command School named after the Supreme Soviet of the RSFSR “Kremlin”. The message says that Zavadsky died on November 28.

As noted by “Important Histories”, this is the seventh military officer of this rank whose death during the war in Ukraine is confirmed by Russian sources. The Ministry of Defense of Russia does not confirm or deny such reports.

Zavadsky, it is said, was the deputy commander of the 14th Army Corps. Earlier, he commanded the Kantemirov Guard Tank Division.

The Ukrainian agency “Unian”, as well as the telegram channel “VChK-OGPU” and a number of Russian pro-military websites, claim that Zavadsky was hit by a mine.

According to “Important Histories”, a total of 12 Russian generals were reported to have died during the war. Seven of them have been confirmed dead. Before Zavadsky, the last general to die was Oleg Tsokov, who was allegedly killed in an attack on the command post of the 58th Army in Russian-controlled Berdyansk.
