The reason was his harsh remarks to the official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia Maria Zakharova and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Mikhail Bogdanov. Satanovsky called Bohdanov a “hard-drinking deputy minister,” and Zakharova a “hard-drinking bitch” who “can’t stand” Israel.
