SC opened a case on the financing of terrorism by “officials in the USA”

The Russian Investigative Committee opened a criminal case on the financing of terrorism by “senior officials of the United States and NATO countries.” This was reported by the official representative of the department’s main administration, Svetlana Petrenko.

The department’s statement says that some officials allegedly transferred money for the financing of terrorism through commercial organizations, in particular the oil and gas company “Burisma Holdings”, operating on the territory of Ukraine.

Terrorist activity against Russia, the investigators say, was carried out “over the past years”, including “outside of Russia”, “in order to eliminate prominent political and public figures and cause economic damage.” The agency did not provide specific examples.

From 2014 to 2019, Burisma Holdings’ board of directors included Hunter, the son of the current US president, Joe Biden.

Earlier, Russian state TV channels showed a video of interrogations of those accused of committing a terrorist attack in “Crocus City Hall”. They stated on camera that their actions were allegedly coordinated from Kyiv. At the same time, they all spoke Russian, although previously some of them could communicate only through an interpreter.

The authors of the story of the First channel repeated the version given by the Russian authorities in the first days after the terrorist attack. They claim that while the attackers of Crocus were driving to the border, two corridors were allegedly prepared for them to cross the border on Ukrainian territory, and the area was demined in two places. The accused themselves do not talk about this, there are no independent confirmations of this information. Russian President Vladimir Putin spoke about the “window” on the border on the first day after the terrorist attack.

The story also showed photos with the Ukrainian flag, allegedly found in the mobile phones of the accused. One of them, as discovered by Radio Liberty, is a photo from the Depositphotos photo bank on the topic “Ukrainian Army”. Earlier, the “Agency” discovered that the collage, allegedly found in the phone, was published on the Internet more than a year ago.

All four defendants were subjected to violence and, probably, torture during and immediately after detention. One of them, in particular, had part of his ear cut off, the second was allegedly electrocuted – the relevant photos were published by pro-war Telegram channels. It is not known when and under what circumstances the video that aired on federal channels was filmed.
