Seizure of assets in Russia: the EU is preparing to introduce sanctions against responsible persons

The European Commission proposes a new introduction of sanctions restrictions against representatives of the Russian Federation. Russians who took the assets of companies of foreign origin will be subject to sanctions. Examples of such companies are Carlsberg, Adidas and Danone, reports “Vechernye Vesty” with reference to Politico.
The Kremlin gained control over the assets of foreign companies that were not previously connected to the Russian government. The Kremlin appointed temporary persons to replace the leaders.
Previously, the European Union did not have the ability to punish people who used this situation for their own purposes, illegally enriching themselves. However, this may change if the European government approves the latest sanctions of the European Commission, which are aimed at limiting the assets of this particular caste of Russians.
Ukraine has already tightened sanctions restrictions.
