Slovakia temporarily suspends the import of grain from Ukraine

The Prime Minister of Slovakia, Eduard Geger, said that his country is temporarily suspending the import of grain and a number of other products from Ukraine.
He wrote about this on Facebook, “European Truth” reports.
“Slovakia will temporarily suspend the import of grain and other products from Ukraine,” Geger noted.
According to him, a meeting of the working group on this topic will be held on April 17. Geger promised to report on the results of the meeting later.
We will remind, on April 13, the Ministry of Agriculture of Slovakia ordered to ban processing of grain imported from Ukraine, as well as sale of Ukrainian grain products on the domestic market.
On April 15, the Polish government decided to ban the import of grain and other agricultural products from Ukraine until June 30 to protect the Polish agricultural sector. On April 16, Hungary also announced a temporary banning the import of grain and oil crops from Ukraine.
At the same time, it was reported that the ministers of agriculture of Ukraine and Poland on Monday will meet on the territory of Poland to sign an agreement on the further export of Ukrainian grain, which causes considerable dissatisfaction among Polish farmers.
