Some schoolchildren from the Belgorod region were evacuated to orphanages

Some schoolchildren from the shelled settlements of the Belgorod Region were evacuated to orphanages and boarding schools in Dagestan and the Stavropol Territory. “Important stories” write about this with reference to the parents of the evacuated children.

As the publication notes, the parents were promised that the schoolboys would be placed in dormitories, but it turned out already that they were being taken to an orphanage. “They went to rest in a children’s camp – they ended up in an orphanage,” a resident of Belgorod told reporters.

In the department of education of the Belgorod region, the correspondent of the publication said that due to the lack of places, children were “distributed as best they could.”

Some schoolchildren were evacuated to the “Berezka” children’s camp, which is located in the forest near Tuloy. Another group of children was brought to the military-patriotic camp “Avangard”, although they promised to send them to the Vologda educational center “Impuls”. Parents of schoolchildren complain that there are problems with mobile communication in both places of accommodation.

• On March 30, the governor of the Belgorod region, Vyacheslav Gladkov, reported that five thousand children had been evacuated from the region. In total, it was planned to take out up to nine thousand children. Gladkov believes that thanks to the evacuation, children will see the country, its traditions and nature – and “beautiful impressions will stay with them forever.”
• In recent weeks, in response to the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the Belgorod region has been subjected to almost daily shelling and drone attacks. The Russian authorities accuse Ukraine of the attacks and report that its attacks have been repelled. There is destruction and victims. Kyiv does not comment on this.
