Sorokin’s book “Heritage” has disappeared from the search of online stores

Vladimir Sorokin’s book “Heritage”, published by the AST publishing house, disappeared from the search of a number of online stores, including “Labyrinth”, “Wildberries” and “Chitay-horod”. Other books of the writer are available on the platforms.

Earlier, the Mash Telegram channel reported that Sorokin’s book might be banned for LGBT propaganda. According to the channel, more than one and a half thousand writers and readers have already written a statement to the Investigative Committee demanding an investigation of the AST publishing house on the fact of LGBT propaganda and violence against children.

Writer Olga Uskova is among those who signed the statement. “In the country of SVO (special military operation – that’s what the Russian authorities call it – approx. RS) and presidential elections. And the sales of Sorokin’s “Heritage” are gaining momentum,” Uskova is quoted by the TV channel “Dozhd” (orthography preserved – approx. RS) . According to the writer, AST deliberately refuses to work with her novel “Rasha” for the sake of promoting Sorokin.
