From Monday, June 19, swimming and fishing will be prohibited in the territories of Kherson, Mykolaiv and Odesa regions.

This was announced during the briefing by the Deputy Minister of Health, Chief Sanitary Doctor Ihor Kuzin, “Liga.Life” reports.

According to Kuzin, there is no outbreak of infectious diseases. Currently, only seasonal levels of incidence of acute intestinal infections are observed.

As of June 15, the epidemic situation is stable in five regions: Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhia, Kherson, Mykolaiv, and Odesa.

At the same time, indicators of river and sea water are “significantly deteriorating”.

“The situation in the Odesa region is quite risky, so I urge citizens not to use reservoirs, not to buy fish in unspecified places and not to catch fish,” the chief sanitary doctor emphasizes.

According to him, experts have conducted more than 1,000 studies of water – drinking, centralized, decentralized, and surface water bodies.

Devices for rapid analysis of drinking water were also installed, which show the result of the main microbiological indicators of water within 18 hours.

In particular, water from wells, as well as water supplied centrally in the Mykolaiv and Kherson regions, is completely safe both chemically and microbiologically.

It is noted that individual wells pose the greatest threat. Since they were originally flooded. Accordingly, there is a certain amount of silt there, so such water is now dangerous for health.

“We advise those residents who return not to use such water for drinking and cooking,” says the Deputy Minister of Health.

Water from wells and wells does not meet both chemical and microbiological parameters.

Representatives of local authorities provide residents with drinking water and also provide disinfection tablets. All up-to-date information can be obtained from the heads of united territorial communities or village elders, Kuzin says.

At the same time, Ihor Kuzin told what the algorithm of actions will be for individual wells when the water goes down:

  • the emergency services team will first pump out water from the basements and help remove blockages;
  • after clearing the territory, the work on cleaning the well will begin: all the water will be pumped out of it, the walls will be washed from silt, and the water will be disinfected.

We remind you:

The concentration of pollutants in the Dnipro in the Kherson area is pronounced downward trend.
