According to the information of the State Ecological Inspection of the South-Western District (Mykolaiv and Odesa Regions), in the samples of sea water taken on the beach “Lanzheron” an excess of suspended matter was recorded by 1.6 times, total iron by 2.0 times, salinity below the norm in 2.6 times; in the samples taken at the 16th station of V. Fontana, an excess of suspended substances was recorded by 2.6 times, salinity is below the norm in 2.6 times.
For comparison, in the samples of sea water taken on June 10 on “Langeron” an excess of iron was recorded by 4.8 times, the salinity was lower than the norm in 2.7 times. In the samples taken at the 16th station of V. Fontan, an excess of suspended solids was recorded by 1.8 times, iron – by 5.2 times, salinity was lower than the norm in 2.9 times.
No cholera pathogens were found in the water. However, positive results for rotavirus A RNA and Salmonella DNA were found.
“Cholera causative agent and cholera-like vibrios were not detected in seawater samples taken on June 13, 2023 from points in Odessa. Positive results of rotavirus A RNA and salmonella DNA were found in seawater samples taken on June 12, 2023. The sanitation situation is under constant control,” – the message says.
Out of the two samples of drinking water taken for sanitary and microbiological indicators and two samples of drinking water for sanitary and chemical indicators, no non-standard samples were found.
“Drinking water supplied to Odesa meets sanitary standards. “Drinking water meets State sanitary standards and rules 2.2.4-171-10 “Hygienic requirements for drinking water intended for human consumption,” the city hall reports.
