A court in Krasnodar fined journalist and activist Alipat Sultanbegova 30,000 rubles for Instagram stories with a picture of Masha Moskaleva. This is reported by SotaVision.

According to screenshots from the case file, Masha’s drawing reads “I am against war!”. Sultanbegova’s story, like the picture itself earlier, was considered by the court to discredit the Russian army. Sultanbegova did not admit guilt, saying that “no one has discredited the Russian army more than herself, and the one who draws these protocols and pronounces sentences on them.”

In May 2023, a criminal case was opened against Sultanbegova under the article on repeated discrediting of the army. After that, the activist left Russia. A month later, she was assigned a restraining order.

  • In the spring of 2022, 12-year-old Masha Moskalyova made an anti-war drawing in class at school. The director turned to the police – the Moskalyovs’ apartment was searched. According to his results, Masha’s father, Alexei Moskalyov, was sentenced to two years in prison on the charge of repeatedly discrediting the Russian army.
  • Masha, whom Moskalyov raised alone, was first sent to an orphanage, and then given to her mother, who expressed her willingness to “remove” Masha’s thoughts about politics.
