The Armed Forces of Ukraine confirmed the attack on the 810th Russian Marine Brigade. The date and place of the attack are not named, but it is indicated that it happened when the brigade was celebrating Artillery Day. In Russia, it is celebrated on November 19.

“According to reports from the Russian side, at the time of the attack, the occupiers gathered to celebrate the so-called Day of the Russian Artillery. The Defense Forces of Ukraine promptly determined the location of the Russians’ festive events and warmly welcomed them!” – said in the Telegram channel of the Strategic Command of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

The Russian Ministry of Defense did not officially report the strike. However, on November 19, both Russian and Ukrainian mass media wrote about the shelling of the unit. It was clarified that the attack came on the building where the festive concert was held. Presumably, about 25 servicemen died. The Russian state agency RIA Novosti also wrote about the death of the artist Polina Menshikh, who took part in a concert in the village of Kumachovo in the Donetsk region.

On November 21, Robert Brovdy, the commander of the air reconnaissance unit of the 59th brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, wrote on Facebook about this strike, calling it an action of retaliation for the shelling by the Russians of the 128th Separate Transcarpathian Mountain Assault Brigade on November 4, as a result of which 19 soldiers were killed.
