The Buryat director was accused of discrediting the army

The director from Buryatia, Artyom Burlov, was charged with an administrative article about the so-called discrediting of the Russian army because of the words that the residents of Buryatia “are being sent to be slaughtered by officials rotten from the inside, whose children are hiding abroad.” Burlov himself told the editors of Sibir.Realii about this.
The case is related to a post in a telegram dated September 7, in which the director also appealed to the head of the republic Alexei Tsydenov and his deputy Peter Mordovsky with a request to explain where their children live.
The police did not explain to Burlov what exactly the words allegedly discredit the Russian army. The court date is still unknown. Burlov believes that someone from a high-ranking employee of the Buryatia government wrote the application for him.
In Instagram, the director published a video with policemen who came to his home.
In September 2023, the Magistrate’s Court of the Soviet District of Ulan-Ude fined Burlov 100,000 rubles in a case of defamation of relatives of the Minister of Culture of Buryatia, Soelma Dagaeva. Burlov wrote that Dagaeva’s relatives left for the United States to avoid mobilization. He asserts that he has evidence of their departure.
