At a meeting on Friday, April 28, the Cabinet of Ministers extended the effect of the provision on the imposition of special obligations on natural gas market entities to ensure public interest (PSO). This was reported by the representative of the government in the Verkhovna Rada, Taras Melnychuk.

He also added that changes were made to the provision. In particular, Ukrneft OJSC has been assigned special responsibilities for the sale of gas produced by NJSC Naftogaz Ukrainy at a fixed price with the aim of creating a natural gas resource for domestic consumers and producers of thermal energy.
At the same time, Melnychuk did not specify the new terms of the provisions on PSO.
