“The government continues the preferential price for electricity for the population for another month,” the prime minister said.
Let’s remind
Earlier, the “Ministry of Finance” wrote that in mid-April, during a meeting, the President’s Office discussed the option of raising tariffs for the population by almost two times – to UAH 2.88/kWh and for businesses by a third – to UAH 4.5/kW.
Currently, the tariff in Ukraine is 1.44 UAH/kWh for consumption of up to 250 kWh per month, and 1.68 UAH/kWh for consumption above this amount.
“This is less than the cost of electricity transportation,” said Oleksandr Kharchenko, director of the Energy Research Center.
