The chief investigator in the cases of Navalny and FBK was promoted

Colonel Roman Vidyukov, who headed the investigation into the cases of Alexei Navalny, his associates and the Anti-Corruption Foundation, was promoted. He was appointed deputy head of the Main Investigative Office of the Investigative Committee of Russia.
Ivan Zhdanov, director of the Anti-Corruption Foundation, reported on the increase. He published in a telegram a photo of a document indicating Vydyukov’s new position and his signature.
Vydyukov handled criminal cases related to FBK — in particular, the case of Alexei Navalny on large-scale personal fraud and the case of Navalny’s associate in Ufa, Lilia Chanysheva, on the creation of an “extremist community.”
- Earlier, Deputy Director of FSIN Valery Boyarynev, whom Navalny’s associates consider personally responsible for the torturous conditions in which the politician was kept in the colony, was “promoted” earlier. On February 19, three days after Navalny’s death, Boyarynev was promoted to the rank of colonel-general of the internal service. In addition to him, three more FSIN employees were promoted.
