The co-owner of the AgroGazTrading company, whom the National Anti-Corruption Bureau suspects of participating in the “scheme” at the Odesa port plant, rejects the accusations in the case and says that the detectives know his whereabouts.
This is stated in the statement of “AgroGasTrading”, which is at the disposal of the EP.
The managing partner of the company, Oleksandr Gorbunenko, stated that the accusations made by NABU “are devoid of any basis” and rejects the Bureau’s accusations of participation in a criminal group. He also “categorically disagrees” with identifying him as a suspect in the case.
According to him, he is in constant contact with the investigation and the detectives know his whereabouts, so he also considers the wanted notice unfounded.
“Our cooperation with the Odesa Port Plant was completely transparent and legal. After winning the open tender, AGT invested almost UAH 40 million to restart production after a year and a half of downtime,” Gorbunenko said.
NABU detectives claim, that the ex-head of the State Property Fund Dmytro Sennychenko and his close person, acting the director of JSC “OPZ” and the owner of LLC “Agrogastrading” illegally continued the validity of additional agreements on the processing of gas into urea and ammonia under unfavorable conditions for the plant.
Gorbunenko assures that during the cooperation the company paid OPZ more than UAH 4.2 billion for the production of fertilizers, as well as almost UAH 75 million, which the plant directed to pay off the old debt to Naftogaz.
