The conversation of police officers who did not intervene in the murder of an African student in Yekaterinburg was published

Yekaterinburg edition E1.RU published a video from the recorder of a police car, in which two employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, sitting in an official car, watch the beating of a student from Gabon for five minutes, without interfering in it, but at the same time making racist comments and teasing passers-by who turn to them for help.

According to the mass media, we are talking about the employees of the Yekaterinburg road patrol service, Gennadia Izergina and Ivan Oleynikova. After five minutes of observation, the police still decide to approach the scene of the incident, but only so that eyewitnesses do not complain about their inaction. By this time, the victim of the attack was already dead.

32-year-old graduate student of the Ural Federal University Francois Njelassila was killed in August. Danyl Fomin, a 23-year-old local resident, was detained on suspicion of murder. It is claimed that he pleaded guilty.

In connection with the public outcry, the internal security service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs conducted an internal investigation, as a result of which two DPS inspectors were dismissed “for negative reasons” and a criminal case was opened against them under the article on abuse of official powers.
