In Ryazan, the coordinator of the local branch of the “Voice” movement, Sofya Ivanova, was released to Roskomnadzor to draw up a report on violation of the legislation on foreign agents. She announced this in her Telegram channel.

The reason for drawing up a protocol against Ivanova was a post in a telegram, in the warning of which she had written not “foreign agent” but “strange agent”. Her Telegram channel has 88 subscribers, and at the time of publication of the news, the record that caused the regulator’s claims had 80 views.

Roskomnadzor considered the wording about a strange agent to be a violation of the law. Ivanova faces a fine of 30,000 to 50,000 rubles.

Participants of the movement for the protection of voters’ rights “Golos” have been observing elections in Russia and other countries since 2000. The movement itself was founded in 2013. In August 2021, the Russian Ministry of Justice recognized “Golos” as a foreign agent, and a month later, twenty of its regional coordinators received such status.
