The Council wants to restart the tax system: they submitted a draft law

The draft law on restarting the State Tax Service was submitted for registration in the Verkhovna Rada.
About this reported Danylo Hetmantsev, head of the VRU Committee on Finance, Tax and Customs Policy.
Currently, the draft law is not registered and not published on the website of the parliament.
According to Hetmantsev, the conditions for restarting the Tax Office will be the same as for the restart of the Bureau of Economic Security and Customs.
Namely, a real competition with the participation of international partners for the position of the head of the State Tax Service is foreseen, and guarantees of the independence of the head of the body must be ensured during the entire period of work.
In addition, full re-certification of employees should take place and “decent remuneration of tax officials” should be ensured, Hetmantsev added.
“I consider the reboot of the tax system to be the main direction of the reform of tax relations, along with digitalization, which is already underway. And restarting three key financial bodies by the end of 2023 – a guarantee of transparency of financial relations and honesty of interaction between the state and society in the field of public finances,” said the head of the committee.
