The court in Moscow arrested until March 17 the creator and leader of the art group “Pre-Revolutionary Councilor” Vyacheslav Malakhov, known under the creative pseudonym Valaar Morgulis. He is charged under the criminal article of repeated discrediting of the Russian army. This is reported by “Mediazona”.
Journalists present at the hearing were kicked out of the court before the decision was announced. The reason for this was that the court is open until 4:45 p.m. on Fridays.
Vyacheslav Malakhov was detained on January 31 in Moscow. The place where he was found was searched, during which a phone, a laptop, a router and an external drive were seized. The reason for initiating the case was an anti-war post in Malakhov’s Telegram channel dated September 8, 2023.
In August of last year, Malakhov was already fined 30,000 rubles under an administrative article on discrediting the army due to publications on the VKontakte social network. Then he said that he was forcibly kept in a psychiatric hospital for three weeks, given injections and forced to drink unknown pills.
