The court in Moscow fined the TV channel “Tochka TV” one million rubles for showing Nikolay Baskov’s clip “Stranger”. “LGBT propaganda” was found in it. “Verstka” drew attention to the case.

According to the court ruling, the relationship between the hero of the clip and the second man is romantic in nature. The looks and reactions to “bed scenes” and a kiss with a woman speak of this. As a result, the court came to the conclusion that the hero of the clip is jealous of the man who “cheated” on him with a woman.

At the same time, the hero’s interaction with the woman “is mainly of a detached, contemplative nature,” the resolution says.

The court also decided that the action in the clip takes place “against the atmosphere of hedonism and debauchery”, since the video contains several sexual scenes with “non-verbal sensual interaction” between two women. The clip was released in 2012.

  • Since December 2022, the dissemination of positive information about homosexuality, bisexuality and transgenderism has been prohibited in Russia. Fines of up to 400,000 rubles for citizens and up to five million rubles for organizations are provided for this.
  • On November 30, 2023, the Supreme Court of Russia, at the request of the Ministry of Justice, decided to ban the non-existent international LGBT movement and declare it extremist.
