The court in Moscow confused parodist Maskym Galkin with political journalist and poet Maksym Glykin. Both are entered by the Russian authorities in the register of so-called foreign agents.
Glykin is planned to be fined for failure to report under the Law on Foreign Agents. The editorial staff of “Mediazony” drew attention to the error. On October 17, the Golovinsky district court of Moscow received an administrative case, in the card of which M.A. Galkin was initially indicated as the person involved, today the name has been changed to M.A. Glykin.
Glykin is a political journalist, worked in the newspaper “Vedomosti”, in RBC, on the TV channel “Dozhd”, collaborated with the publication “Vyorstka”. In 2023, the Ministry of Justice called him an employee of Polygon publication. He, like Galkin, emigrated to Israel.
On the eve of bringing Galkin to responsibility under the law on foreign agents, according to information from the court, many mass media reported. According to this article, Glykin faces a fine of up to 50,000 rubles.
