In the capital, the demand for renting apartments exceeded the level before the start of the full-scale war by 38%, although Lviv apartments are still ahead of Kyiv apartments in terms of prices.
This is stated in the research of the team of the iOS application for renting apartments bird (“LUN”).
At the same time, in Kyiv, the expected increase in rental prices after the winter and lockdowns has not yet occurred: the median price remains at the old level. A slight increase in prices was recorded only for two-room apartments (4%).
Median rental prices in Kyiv were UAH 9,000 for a 1-room apartment, UAH 13,000 for a 2-room apartment, and UAH 20,000 for a 3-room apartment.
Although the price of long-term rental apartments in Lviv has decreased slightly, renting one- and two-room apartments is still more expensive than in Kyiv. The exception is three-room apartments, which are more expensive in the capital.
Compared to the previous month, the median price of a two-room apartment in Lviv decreased by 12%, and a one-room apartment by 7%.
Median rental prices in Lviv were UAH 15,000 for a 1-room apartment, UAH 16,000 for a 2-room apartment, and UAH 28,600 for a 3-room apartment.
