The Energy Support Fund of Ukraine has reached 300 million euros – Galushchenko

The Energy Support Fund of Ukraine, the funds from which are directed to the purchase of equipment for energy companies, has already reached more than 300 million euros.

This was announced by the Minister of Energy Herman Galushchenko, on the air of the national telethon “Edyny Novyny” “Interfax-Ukraine”.

“We already spend more than EUR 300 million in this Fund specifically to support the energy industry, and they are spent on the purchase of equipment for all energy companies,” Galushchenko said.

Also, according to him, reserves of equipment for energy companies are being formed at the expense of the Fund.

It is noted that at the end of October, the German Federal Ministry of Economy and Climate Protection (BMWK) announced a contribution of EUR 54.3 million to the Energy Support Fund of Ukraine. The Ministry of Energy noted that the funds will be provided as part of the expansion of the German-Ukrainian energy partnership for the purchase of energy equipment necessary for the restoration and repair of Ukrainian energy facilities.

It is added that as of mid-July 2023, the volume of the Fund was about 220 million dollars, and by the end of the year it was expected to increase to 300 million dollars.
